Accessibility statement
MrCOLOMBO is committed to designing its website accessibly in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
This statement applies to the website www.mrculombo.com including all subpages and subdomains. The Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) has been in force since June 28, 2025. It requires providers of digital products and services to make them usable without significant difficulty – including for people with disabilities.
Our website follows the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA. We continuously improve the shop and fix identified barriers as soon as they are found.

What we have already implemented
Six building blocks. Where the shop stands today.
Semantic structure
All pages use correct HTML5 structures with landmarks, heading hierarchy and ARIA attributes. Screen readers navigate the content without detours.
Keyboard operation
All functions are accessible without a mouse. The focus order is logical and the focus indicator clearly visible.
Contrast & readability
Text reaches at least the WCAG AA contrast of 4.5:1. Font sizes are scalable without breaking the layout.
Visual aid in the footer
Every page offers a control panel for text size, letter and line spacing, contrast modes, readable font and reduced animations. The setting is saved across the device.
Alternative texts
Product photos, hero images and bowl shots carry descriptive alt texts. Decorative images are marked as such.
Forms with clear labels
Contact, newsletter and checkout forms use unambiguous labels, required-field markers and error messages accessible to screen readers.
Where we are still working
Known barriers on the site.
We openly name which areas are not yet fully accessible. If you urgently need one of these contents, write to us – we will provide the material in an accessible form.
- Some decorative images without alt text are still being updated.
- Occasional colour contrasts below 4.5:1 in decorative areas.
- PDF downloads (data sheets, lab reports) are partly not fully accessible.
- Video content without synchronised subtitles.
- Complex interactive maps (Sri Lanka map) do not yet offer a complete keyboard workflow for all tooltips.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can file a complaint with the competent market surveillance authority. For private-sector providers, the German federal states monitor compliance with the BFSG.

Preparation of this statement
How we assessed the status.
This statement was prepared on May 20, 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment. We tested with Lighthouse Accessibility, Axe DevTools and manual keyboard and screen reader tests.
A comprehensive external audit by a specialised accessibility agency is planned for 2026. The results will be incorporated into the next update of this statement.
