Description

Ceylon Chicken Seasoning is a finely balanced spice blend for grilled, pan-fried and oven-roasted chicken. All the spices it contains come from Sri Lanka and are brought together in a recipe that needs no salt and no fillers.

The blend tastes warm, mild and slightly sweet and is finely and evenly ground. This means it can be measured out evenly and used both before and during cooking.

Flavour profile & taste

Coriander and cumin give the blend a rounded, spicy base. Lemongrass and ginger bring freshness, while turmeric, black pepper and chilli provide warmth. Ceylon cinnamon and fennel round off the profile with a mild, slightly sweet finish.

Origin

100 % origin Sri Lanka: Every ingredient in this blend comes from Sri Lanka. This keeps the origin of the entire recipe clear and traceable, even though several spices are combined.

The exact composition is shown in full on the product page and later on the label. The resealable pouch contains 100 g of spice blend.

Use

Ceylon Chicken Seasoning is designed for grilled, pan-fried and oven-roasted chicken. The blend can be sprinkled on dry, stirred into oil or added directly during cooking.

  • Grilled chicken: Before grilling, spread over the meat or poultry alternative with a little oil and leave to soak in briefly.
  • Pan dishes: Add directly to the chicken while searing, then continue cooking with vegetables or coconut milk.
  • Oven-roasted chicken: Stir into oil, brush onto chicken pieces and cook together with potatoes or vegetables.
  • Marinades: Stir with oil, lime juice and salt into an aromatic marinade.

Dosage: For 500 g of chicken, start with about 2 tsp and adjust to the desired seasoning intensity. Salt is not included and is added separately.
