Description
Two organic classics from Sri Lanka in one set: finely ground organic turmeric from Jaffna and gently dried organic moringa leaf powder. Both products remain separately and resealably packaged.
What is included:
- Organic Turmeric Powder (100 g) - earthy and warm for golden milk, curries and rice dishes
- Organic Moringa Powder (250 g) - mild and earthy for smoothies, bowls and drinks
Origin
Both products come from Jaffna in the north of Sri Lanka. Cultivation, gentle processing and final packaging take place at our partner families and partner businesses in the country of origin. The organic supply chain is controlled in accordance with the EU Organic Regulation; control body: Ecocert Deutschland GmbH, DE-ÖKO-005.
Use
Organic turmeric: 1/2 to 1 tsp for golden milk, curries, rice or dressings. For a rounded aroma, sweat briefly in oil.
Organic moringa: start by stirring 1/2 tsp into smoothies, bowls, juices or lukewarm drinks. Do not heat strongly, so that colour and aroma are preserved.

We buy directly from the smallholder families of Sri Lanka, organised through local partner cooperatives. Packing takes place in the country of origin, Sri Lanka, not in Europe. Packing at origin keeps the value where the spices grow and makes for a shorter, transparent chain. At MrCOLOMBO there is no anonymous supply chain.
Four of our classics (organic turmeric powder, organic moringa powder, organic lemongrass powder and organic lemongrass cut) are certified under EU Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848 (DE-ÖKO-005, Ecocert Deutschland GmbH). Not every variety is organic certified; the labelling and details on the respective product page are authoritative.
